Home My Public Portal About03-02-2006 Emergency Meeting Minutes March 2, 2006 Emergency Meeting Page I of2 Minutes Approved: April 10, 2006 MINUTES HILLSBOROUGH TOWN BOARD March 2, 2006 7:30 PM, Hillsborough Police Department Training Room The Town of Hillsborough held an Emergency Meeting on March 2, 2006 at 7:30 p.rn. in the Hillsborough Police Department Training Room. Present for the Meeting were Mayor Tom Stevens, and Commissioners Frances Dancy, Brian Lowen, Eric Hallman, Michael Gering, and Evelyn Lloyd. Staff present were Assistant Town Manager/Public Works Director Demetric Potts, Town Clerk Donna Armbrister, Planning Director Margaret Hauth, and Town Attorney Bob Hornik Others present were Jerry Passmore, Jill Passmore, Jack Chestnut, and Mary Ann Peter. CALL TO ORDER 7:35:42 PM Mayor Tom Stevens called the meeting to order at approximately 7:35 PM. He informed the persons other that the Board and Staff that when the Board went into Closed Session, they would be required to leave for that Closed Session and then would be asked to rejoin the meeting after the Closed Session. Town Attorney Bob Hornik requested to add an Update on the Gateway Center, LLC Litigation to the Closed Session. By consensus, the Board agreed. CLOSED SESSION 7:38:04 PM Upon a motion by Commissioner Gering, seconded by Commissioner Dancy, the Board moved to go into Closed Session as authorized by North Carolina General Statute Section 143-318.11 (3) to meet with Town Attorney regarding current litigation with Gateway Center and EYC by a vote of 5-0. The motion was declared passed. ADJOURN 9:38:12 PM Upon returning to Open Session, and upon a motion by Commissioner Gering, seconded by Commissioner Lowen, the Board moved to authorize Town Attorney Bob Hornik to settle with Gateway commons as discussed in Closed Session by a vote of 4-0. The motion was declared passed. 9:38:12 PM Upon a motion by Commissioner Lowen, seconded by Commissioner Gering, the Board moved to adjourn at approximately 9:38 PM by a vote of 4-0.
