Home My Public Portal Aboutr 16-127�eovl Lion of for Poroug4 of Qlartnet, �q- �41 �WiffliIij� Date of Adoption �Ys —'sr � - 6 AUTHORIZING THE REJECTION OF BIDS AND AUTHORIZING RE- BIDDING FOR THE DE -ICING V NIATERIAL STORAGE SHED PROJECT WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret, (the "Borough ") has previously solicited and received bids for the De -Icing Material Storage Shed Project on July 6, 2016; and WHEREAS, upon a review of said bid submittals for the said project, the Director of Engineering has determined that all of the submittals substantially exceed his estimate for said work; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, that all of the bid submittals received for the De -Icing Material Storage Shed Project are hereby rejected, and the return of all of the bidders' bid bonds are hereby directed, along with a notification of the rejection of all bids. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Engineering and /or appropriate Borough Officials is hereby authorized to solicit new bid submittals for the project in accordance with the Engineer's direction of the bid specifications for the same.
