AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT
WITH NAJARIAN ASSOCIATES, RE: DUE - DILIGENCE INVESTIGATION
RAHWAY ARCH, SALT INIEADOW REDEVELOPMENT AREA
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of specialized planninglengineering
services in connection with the Due - Diligence Investigation of the Rahway Arch, Salt
Meadow Redevelopment Area; and
WHEREAS, Najarian Associates, One Industrial Way Nest, Eatontown, New Jersey
07724, possesses the requisite experience and expertise to provide said services; and
WHEREAS, Najarian Associates, has submitted a proposal to provide said services at a
total cost not to exceed 525,000.00 and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and the Council have reviewed said proposal; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available
for said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor acrd the Council of the
Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. Tire proposal from Najarian Associates for planning/enghteering
services in regard to the Due - Diligence Investigation of the
Rahway Arch, Salt Meadow Redevelopment Area at a total cost
not to exceed $25,000.00 is hereby approved.
2. This action is approved as ail award of a professional services
contract pursuant to N.J.S.A 40A:11- 5(1)(a) in accordance with the
Borough's Fair and Open Process as authorized by law.
3. A copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Borough's Director
of Engineering, Purchasing Department and Najarian Associates.
