CITY OF RIC['OND, INDIANA, APRIL 14, 1977
1 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
2 met in regular session April 14, 1977 at the hour of 9:00 a.m. in the
3 Municipal Building in said City. Mr. Meredith presided with Mr.
4 Anderson and Mr. Webb present. The following business was had, to-
5 wit:

7 Mr. Webb moved to approve the minutes of the previous meeting as
8 prepared, seconded by Mr. Anderson and on unanimous voice vote the
II/ 9 motion was carried.

11 Mr. Anderson moved to approve the request of Mr. Bill Thurston,
12 R. R. 1, Centerville, to use the fire stations as a collection point
13 for clothing and canned goods for flood victims in Kentucky from
14 April 14 to April 28 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. ,
15 seconded by Mr. Webb and on unanimous voice vote the motion was
16 carried.

18 Mr. Webb moved to accept and file proof of publication for tree
19 removal for the City not to exceed $5,000 and for Community Develop-
20 ment not to exceed $2 ,000, seconded by Mr. Anderson and on unanimous
21 voice vote the motion was carried.

23 Mr. Meredith s tated t. that rthere was ssomeconfusion-as._the-_specs
24 stated no performance bond was required. This is not a bid bond
25 and each bid must be accompanied by an acceptable bond or its
26 equivalent.

28 Bids were received for tree removal and the following were recorded:

30 Foister Miracle Tree Service C.D. $42.00 per tree
31 City $42.00 per tree

33 Mid-West Tree Co. C.D. $70.00 per tree

36 Otis Lady $ Thomas Cutsinger C.D. $36.50 per tree

39 Mr. Anderson moved taking these bids under advisement, seconded by
40 W. Webb and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

42 Mr. Webb moved to approve the request of the Street Light Committee
43 to install one (1) 250 watt vapor light on South "P" Street between
44 South 13th and 14th Streets, seconded by Mr. Anderson and on
45 unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

47 City Plan Director Bob Goodwin reca,muended approval of the plat of
48 Sec. #1, Meadow Park which went to the Plan Commission March 29 , 1977
49 and was granted with the following two (2) conditions:

51 (1) Sewer realignments according to the State Health
52 Regulations, which has been done to the
53 satisfaction of the City Engineer.
54 (2) Sixty (60) foot right-of-way along the southern
55 most boundaries document granting for a period
56 of eight (8) years and after that on a year-
57 to-year basis should it be reached at that time.

59 Sufficient funds are on hand. for completion of this sub-division,
60 which includes 31 lots.

62 Mr. Webb moved for approval of Meadow Park, Section #1, seconded by
63 Mr. Anderson and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

65 Mr. Webb moved to approve the plat and description of land to be
66 annexed, to the City of approximately thirty-nine (39) acres west of
67 Garwood Road which is a part of the Cambridge Square Unit
68 Development, correcting a defect, so it can be recorded, seconded
69 by Mr. Anderson and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

1 Mr. Webb moved to approve the request of Park Superintendent
2 Don McBride to install at the. City Building a six (6) foot
3 walk from the existing public walkway to the rose garden
4 area and a.four (4) foot walk around the perimeter of the
5 garden and other necessary landscaping, seconded by Mr.
6 Anderson and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

8 There being no further business on motion duly made, seconded
9 and passed the meeting was adjourned.
