BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE
CITY OF RI CHMOND, INDIAND, JANUARY 13, 1977
1 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in
2 regular session January 13, 1977 at the hour of 9:00 a.m. in the Municipal
3 Building of said City. Mr. Meredith presided with Mr. Reinke and Mr. Webb
4 present. The following business was had, to-wit:

6 Mr. Reinke moved to approve the minutes of the previous meeting, seconded by
7 Mr. Webb and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

9 The City is asking everyone to cooperate with the Street Department and Police
10. Department in their effort to remove snow from the public streets. They urge
11 everyone to keep cars off the streets if at all possible or park as near the
12 curb line as possible. A tentative schedule set up is to start clearing the
13 downtown area at 5:30 a.m. Friday starting with North & South 5th Street going
14 from North to South "A" to North & South 9th Street. Saturday morning at 5:30
15 a.m. work will be started from 9th to 11th. Residential clearing will be done
16 in areas needed to get emergency vehicles through, where they cannot get through
_ 17 at this time.

19 Mr. Reinke stated proof of publication was in order for bids for 13 police cars.
20 Mr. Webb moved to accept and file this proof of publication, seconded by Mr.
21 Reinke and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

23 The following bids were recorded: Fred First Ford, 13 mid-size cars $62, 799.12,
24 5 compacts and 8 mid-size $61,114. 37; Raper Sales, Inc., 13 mid-size $61,609. 75,
25 8 mid-size $37,832. 00, 5 compacts $23,525. 00 (total 5 4- 8 $61,489. 75); Kurdys
26 Brookbank Chevrolet, 13 mid-size $59,934. 29, 8 mid-size $36,801. 84, 5 compacts
27 $22,287.95; Raper Plymouth, Inc., 13 mid-size $58,432. 53, 5 compacts and 8 mid-
28 size $58, 116.48.

30 Mr. Reinke moved these bids be taken under advisement until next week and turned
31 over to the Police Department for study and recommendation, seconded by Mr. Webb
32 and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

34 There being no further business on motion duly made, seconded and passed the
35 meeting was adjourned.
