HomeMy Public PortalAbout01-06-1977 d7 BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, JANUARY 6 , 1977 1 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, 2 Indiana, met in regular session January 6 , 1977 at the hour of 9:00 3 a.m. in the Municipal Building of said City. Mr. Reinke presided 4 with Mr. Meredith and Mr. Webb present. The following business was 5 had, to-wit: 6 7 Mr. Meredith moved to approve the minutes of the previous regular 11/ 8 and special meetings , seconded by Mr. Webb and on unanimous voice 9 10 vote the motion was carried. 11 Mr. Reinke announced the floor open for nominations for President of 12 the Board of Works for the year 1977. Mr. Webb nominated Mr. 13 Meredith, seconded by Mr. Reinke and on unanimous voice vote the 14 motion was carried. 15 16 Mr. Meredith announced the regular meeting day would still be 17 Thursday morning at 9:00 a.m. 18 19 Mr. Reinke moved to approve the request of Chief of Police Charles 20 Chris that Patrolman John L. Robinson be sent to the Indiana Law 21 Enforcement Academy January 10 - 14 to attend the Chemical Test for 22 Intoxication School , seconded by Mr. Webb and on unanimous voice 23 vote the motion was carried. 24 25 Mr. Webb moved to approve the request of Chief Chris that Capt. 26 LaFuze and Sgt. Bratton be sent to the Indiana Juvenile Officers 27 Association Conference Saturday, January 15 at Kokomo, IN , seconded 28 by Mr. Reinke and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. . 29 30 Mr. Reinke moved to approve the request of Sgt. Ron Williams , 31 Department of Traffic Safety , to restrict the- traffic control 32 signals at the intersection of Williamsburg Pike and NW "T" Street, 33 and Industries Road intersecting with Williamsburg Pike so they 34 function only during peak hours and be on flasher the rest of the 35 day and on weekends , seconded by Mr. Webb and on unanimous voice 36 vote the motion was carried. 37 38 Mr. Reinke moved to approve the report from the Bureau of Buildings 39 for December, 1976 , seconded by Mr. Webb and on unanimous voice vote 40 the motion was carried. 41 42 There being no further business on motion duly made, seconded and 43 passed, the meeting was adjourned. 44 45 Donald E.
