Applicability
A Sign Improvement Location Permit (SILP) is required before permanent construction, installation, addition,
alteration, or relocation of signs on a non-residential property.
A complete application contains the following:
1. Completed and signed application (hard copy, digital copy, or online application)
2. Site plan (to include but not limited to the following):
a. All existing structures and signage
b. Location of proposed NEW Signage
c. Height of all affected structures and signs
d. Existing property lines, lot dimensions, labelled streets and/or alleys
e. Measured setbacks of affected structures and signs
f. Proposed landscape buffers or landscaped areas (if required)
3. Supporting images
a. Image of proposed signage
b. Signage dimensions and area
4. $15 application fee (to be paid upon submittal – payment does not guarantee approval)
THIS APPLICATION SERVES AS SIGNAGE VERIFICATION FOR YOUR PROJECT ONLY.
Additional permits, including but not limited to Improvement Location Permits, building permits, driveway
permits & electrical permits, may be required depending on the type of and scope of the project.
INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE PROCESSED. It is the responsibility of the applicant to
ensure that the request is complete. Staff will not perform work required to provide missing information.
