CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, DECEMBER 2, 1976
1 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
2 met in regular session December 2, 1976 at the hour of 9:00 a.m. in
3 the Municipal Building of said City. Mr. Reinke presided with Mr.
4 Meredith and Mr. Webb present. The following business was had, to-wit:

6 Mr. Meredith moved to approve the minutes of the previous meeting,
7 seconded by Mr. Webb and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

9 Mr. Webb moved to take under advisement the request of Mr. Ken
10 Lunsford, owner of the Safe Way Cab Company for four (4) reserved on
11 street parking spaces, seconded by Mr. Meredith and on unanimous voice
12 vote the motion was carried. Sgt. Williams conducted a survey for this
13 request and reported to the Board that there were only three (3) spaces
14 available in front of Mercurio's Tavern at 212 South 8th Street.

16 Mr. Webb recommended approval of a certificate of.substantial completion
17 for the South .16th Street detention basin, which had a final .:inspection
18 on November 4, 1976, seconded by Mr. Meredith and on unanimous voice
19 vote the motion was carried.

21. Mr. Meredith-moved to approve the request of Chief Chris to accept the
22 resignation of Captain Louis Gibbs from the Richmond Police Department
23 effective December 1 , 1976, seconded, by Mr. Webb and on unanimous voice
24 vote- the motion was carried. Mr. Meredith read a tribute to Capt.
25 Gibbs and Mr. Reinke presented him a plaque from the City.

27 Mr. Meredith moved to accept and file the report from the Bureau of
28 Buildings for November, 1976, seconded by Mr. Webb and on unanimous .
29 voice vote the motion was carried.

31 Mr. Meredith moved to take under advisement a proposal from Mr. James
32 Weichman for-purchase of City-owned property located on the west side
33 of South 9th running north from the intersection of South 9th and
34 Boston Pike, seconded by Mr. Webb and on unanimous voice vote the
35 motion was carried.

37 There being no further business on motion duly made, seconded and
38 passed the meeting was adjourned.
