CITY OF:RICHMOND, INDIANA, NOVEMBER 10, 1976
1 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond,
2 Indiana, met in regular session November 10, 1976, at the hour
3 of 9:00 a.m. in the Municipal Building of said City. Mr. Reinke
4 presided with Mr. Meredith and Mr.: Webb• present. The following
5 business was had, to-wit:

7 Mr. .Webb moved to approve the minutes of the previouw regular
111 8 and special meetings, seconded by Mr. Meredith and on unanimous

voice vote the motion was carried.

11 Mr. Meredith moved to approve the request of Chief Charles Chris
12 to appoint Edwin D. Coble and Billy Eugene Black as Special
13 Officers (Security Guards) with powers limited to the Greenwood
14 Apartments and grounds effective November 10, 1976, seconded by
15 Mr. Webb and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

17 Mr. Webb moved to approve the request of Chief Charles .Chris. that.
18 Officer Dennis Rice be sent to a. two-day Crime Prevention Seminar
19 to be held on November 18 -. 19 at Indianapolis, seconded by Mr.
20 Meredith and. on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

22 Mr. Webb moved the City enter. into,a contract with Johnson Control
23 System for controls. of temperature and humidity in the City
24 Building, which would give maintenance four 0) times a year at a
25 cost of $1500, seconded by Mr. Meredith and on unanimous voice
26 vote the motion was carried.

28 MS. Berline Potter spoke to the Board in regard to the City
29 installing new curbs and sidewalks in various parts of. the city..
30 She recommended wheelchair ramps..be included in these curbs. . Mr.
31 Meredith stated that these should be confined to corners. Mr. Webb
32 stated the Engineer's Office considers these on any new project;
33 however, there is some conflict in doing this because of blind
34 people_.

36 There being no further. business on motion duly made, seconded and
37 passed, the meeting was adjourned.
