SPECIAL MEETING
BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, NOVEMBER 1, 1976
1 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
2 in special session November 1, 1976 at the hour of 9:40 p.m. in the Council
3 Chambers of said City. Mr. Reinke presided with Mr. Meredith and Mr. Webb
4 present. The following business was had, to-wit:

6 Mr. Reinke announced the purpose of this meeting was to consider RESOLUTION
III7 NO. 12-1976 - A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT
8 BETWEEN THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, AND R. W. CLINTON & ASSOCIATES, INC.,
9 IN REGARD TO THE CONSTRUCTION OF A DOWNTOWN PEDESTRIAN MALL TO BE LOCATED ON
10 EAST MAIN STREET BETWEEN FIFTH AND SIXTH STREETS IN RICHMOND, INDIANA.

12 Speaking against this resolution and filing a letter to the Board was Mrs.
13 Pauline Rhoades.

15 Mr. Matt Nepote stated that construction of this project must be started
16 within ninety (90) days after the plan is approved. The funds through this
17 grant must be used for construction instead of maintenance or repairs.

19 Mr. Reinke asked Mrs. Rhoades if she knew of any other projects which could
20 fit into these guidelines, to which she answered, "no".

22 Mr. Webb moved to approve Resolution No. 12-1976 which authorizes the Board
23 of Works to enter into a contract with Clinton & Associates, seconded by
24 Mr. Meredith and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

26 There being no further business on motion duly made, seconded and passed,
27 the meeting was adjourned.
