BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OFRICHMOND, INDIANA, AUGUST 19 , 1976 1 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, 2 met in regular session August 19, 1976 at the hour of 9:00 a.m. in the 3 Municipal Building of said City. Mr. Reinke presided with Mr. Webb 4 present. Mr. Meredith- was out of town. The following business was 5 had, to-wit: 6 7 Mr. Webb moved to approve the minutes of the previous meeting, seconded 8 by Mr. Reinke and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. 9 10 Mayor Clifford Dickman presented a contract between the City (Community 11 Development) and WVRC. Present to support the agreement were: Elizabeth 12 Cleghorn , 560 So. "L"; Lee Charboueau, Therepist at Reid Hospital ; Dick 13 Robinson , Consultant; Bob Lindsey; Bev Tyler and Ruthie Smith. 14 15 This is a grant of $13,600 from Community Development funds , which has 16 been cleared through HUD for a not-for-profit organization to train and 17 educate.,the handi capped. 18 19 Mr. Webb moved to enter into this contract, seconded by Mr. Reinke and 20 on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.21 22 Mrs. Barbara Barnhizer, Community Development, request permission to 23 advertise for a bid opening of September 2 , 1976 for Project #2-76-8-9-2 24 which is installation of curbs and pavement removal and reconstruction 25 _ on South 22nd Street South of South "L" Street in the Richardson Addition. 26 27 Mr. Webb moved to .approve this request, seconded by Mr. Reinke and on 28 unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. 29 30 Mr. Jerry Haynes,Street Department, requested permission to advertise 31 for a bid opening on September 9 at 9: 15 a.m. for a bituminous 32 Distributor and Roller. 33 34 Mr. Webb moved approval of this request, seconded by Mr.. Reinke and on 35 unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. 36 37 Chief Charles Chris requested the appointment of Howard Roy Eaton as 38 a Special Officer (Security Guard) at the Greenwood Apartments with 39 Police powers limited to the Greenwood Apartments and grounds. 40 41 Mr. Webb moved approval of this request be granted, seconded by Mr. 42 Reinke and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. 43 44 Mr. Webb presented a curb cut request from Thomas R. Raper, 2400 45 Williamsburg Pike for two (2) cuts on N.W. "V" Street. This request has 46 the approval of the Police Department, Planning and Engineering Offices. 47 48 Mr. Webb moved to approve this request, seconded by Mr. Reinke and on 49 unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. 50 51 There being no further business , on motion duly made , seconded and passed 52 the meeting was adjourned. 53 54 Robert L.
