AWARDING BID FOR FIRE HEADQUARTERS
GENERATOR INSTALLATION
WHEREAS, the Borough has publicly advertised for the receipt of bids for the Fire
Headquarters Generator Installation Project; and
WHEREAS, the Borough has solicited and received four (4) bid proposals for the Fire
Headquarters Generator Installation Project as follows:
Base Bid +Add A
1. Envirocon $92,205.00
2. Advanced Control Systems $96,015.00
3. Raymond Electrical $100,500.00
4. Manor II Electric $ 97,646.00
WHEREAS, Envirocon has submitted the lowest bid for said contract as evidenced by the
response on file with the Borough's Purchasing Department and with the Borough Engineer; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has reviewed the above bid proposals and has recommended
the award of a contract to Envirocon, in a total amount not to exceed $92,205.00, per attached
award letter; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available for said
purpose.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of
Carteret as follows:
1. That the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby authorized to enter into a
contract with Envirocon of Hackettstown, N.J. for the Project for the sum of
$92,205.00 in accordance in all respects with the request for proposals and
bid on same.
2. That a copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Borough's
Purchasing Department, the Borough Director of Engineering and CNfE
Associates.
3. That the aforementioned award of bid is contingent upon formal approval
from the New Jersey Department of Labor, Division of Wage and Hour
Compliance.
