AUTHORIZING 2017 RECYCLING AGREEMENT
WITH WASTE NIANAGENIENT RECYCLING OF NEW JERSEY, LLC

WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of entering a new agreement for the
disposal of recyclable materials, including, sorted newspaper, mixed newspaper,
corrugated cardboard (OCC) and commingled bottles, cans, and plastics; and
WHEREAS, Waste Management Recycling of New Jersey, LLC, 1001 Fannin Street,
Houston, TX 77002, has submitted a proposal to provide said recycling services; and
WHEREAS, the Borough has determined that the proposal from Waste Management
Recycling of New Jersey, LLC, is the most advantageous, considering all relevant factors
including price; and
WHEREAS, Waste Management Recycling of New Jersey, LLC, has extensive expertise
in the field of recycling of the foregoing commodities and related services and has
demonstrated a proven reputation in the field.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret as follows:
1. That the Mayor and appropriate Borough officials are hereby
authorized to execute and enter into a third year of their contract
with Waste Management Recycling of New Jersey, LLC, for the
disposal of the above described recycling materials /commodities
by the Borough of Carteret in a form acceptable to the Borough
Attorney.
2. That this contract is awarded without competitive bidding as so
authorized by the Local Public Contracts Law as a contract
covering the disposition of recyclable materials /commodities.
Adopted this 18" day of August, 2016
and certified as a true copy of the
original on August 19, 2016.
