HomeMy Public PortalAbout05-12-2022 THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, MAY 12,2022 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5:00 P.M., May 12,2022 in Council Chambers in the Municipal Building, 50 North 5th Street, Richmond, Indiana. CALL TO ORDER Board member Emily Palmer called the meeting to order and the following business was conducted: ROLL CALL Board members present were: Emily Palmer and Matt Evans. Board member Vicki Robinson was absent. Also in attendance were Kim Vessels, Assistant City Attorney; Monica Young, Ordinance Violations Specialist; Grayson Hart, Infrastructure & Development; Derek Hill, Director of Code Enforcement; Bill Henry, Code Enforcement; Kara Noe, Purchasing; and Media. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Mr. Evans moved to approve the minutes of May 5, 2022, supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Ms. Palmer moved to approve the Claims for Payment for May 13, 2022 in the amount of Two Hundred Seventy Two Thousand Five Hundred Forty Nine Dollars and eighty-three cents (272,549.83), supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT FOR PENSION REQUESTS BID OPENINGS • 100 FOOT ARIEL LADDER One bid was submitted by 911 Fleet&Fire Equipment. The bid is as follows: ti Board of Works Minutes May 12,2022 • Page 2 All apparatus and delivery cost- $1, 563,773.00 All apparatus and delivery with pre-pay discount- $1, 495,224.00 This bid was taken under advisement. BID AWARDS CONTRACTS • CONTRACT NO. 81-2022—GOOGLE TRANSIT AGREEMENT This agreement will allow the Department of Infrastructure & Development to share its General Transit Feed Specification(GTFS)with Google LLC,enabling Richmond's transit information to be available for public use in Google products and services. Also needing approval to allow Ian Vanness to electronically accept the agreement. Mr.Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms.Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. • CONTRACT 84-2022—MIKESELL EXCAVATING City retains Contractor to perform services in connection with the demolition of 445 South 12th Street previously deemed by the Richmond Unsafe Building Commission to be unsafe. Services shall include demolition, removal of debris, and restoration of the site. Not to exceed $8,100.00 Mr.Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms. Palmer.Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. • CONTRACT NO. 85-2022—COX EXCAVATING PLUS,LLC City retains Contractor to perform services in connection with the demolition of 504 South 12th Street previously deemed by the Richmond Unsafe Building Commission to be unsafe. Services shall include demolition, removal of debris, and restoration of the site. Not to exceed$7,250.00 Mr.Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms. Palmer.Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried.
