HomeMy Public PortalAbout12-30-1975 - Special Session /4/ SPECIAL MEETING BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS & SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND , INDIANA, DECEMBER 30 , 1975 1 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, 2 Indiana, met in special session December 30 , 1975 at the hour 3 of 2 : 30 p .m. in the Municipal Building in said City. Mr . Burton 4 presided with Mr . Willis and Mr . Judge present . The following 5 business was had to-wit : 6 - 7 This special meeting is.,to. award bids for the Seventh and Eighth 8 Street Skyways and the South 16th Street retention basin . 9 10 Mr . Burton moved to award the bid to Oberle & Associates Construction 11 Co . , Inc . , for the 7th Street Skyway (Elder-Beerman) in - the 12 amount of '_ $64 ,300 and _ for_:the,_8th Street Skyway (Knollenbergs) in 13 the amount of $50 , 400 . 00 , seconded by Mr . Judge and on unanimous 14 voice vote the motion was carried . (Subject to permit being 15 granted by the Indiana State Highway Commission) 16 17 Mr . Burton moved to sign a lease and enter into an agreement 18 with Knollenberg ' s whereby Knollenberg ' s will pay one-half of 19 the construction costs of the 8th Street Skyway, pay for all 20 maintenance , insurance and utilities , seconded by Mr . Judge and 21 on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried . 22 23 Mr . Burton moved to sign a lease and enter into an agreement 24 with Elder-Beerman whereby Elder-Beerman will pay one-half of 25 the construction costs of the 7th Street Skyway , pay for all 26 maintenance , insurance and utilities , seconded by Mr. Judge and 27 on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried . 28 29 Mr . Burton moved to award contract for the South 16th Street 30 detention basin to Mote Construction in the amount of $192 , 401 . 50 , 31 seconded by Mr . Willis and on unanimous voice vote the motion was 32 carried . 33 34 Mr . Burton moved to enter into an agreement with Wernle Home and 35 accept warranty deed and also sign amendment to the agreement 36 for sale of Real Estate , seconded by Mr . Judge and on unanimous , 37 voice vote the motion was carried . 38 39 There being no further business on motion duly made , seconded and 40 passed , the meeting was adjourned . 41 42 43 Robert G .
