BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS & SAFETY OF THE
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, SEPTEMBER 11 , 1975
1 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
2 met in regular session. September 11 , 1975 at the hour of 9:00 A.M.
3 in the Municipal Building in said City. Mr. Burton presided with Mr.
4 . Judge and Mr. Willis present. The following business was had to-wit:

6 Mr. Willis moved to approve the minutes of the previous meeting,
7 seconded by Mr. Judge and on unanimous voice vote the motion was
8 carried.

10 Donald L. Strahan, Safety Director, requested two street lights be
11 installed at the site of the new No. 3 Fire Station.

13 Mr. Judge moved to install two street lights on existing wood poles,
14 one at the Northwest corner of the intersection and one on the next
15 pole to the north (back driveway of the station) , seconded by Mr.
16 Burton and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

18 Mr. Judge requested the Clerk of the Board write a letter to Councilman
19 Elstro, Chairman of the Street Lighting Committee, asking his committee
20 to consider as a project, street lights at the new No. 2 Fire Station.

22 Safefty Director Strahan gave a progress report on the new Fire Stations
23 stating No. 3 should be completed by the end of next week and No. 2
24 shortly after which is on schedule.

26 Mr. Judge moved to advertise for bids to be received on September 25,
27 1975 at 9:10 A.M. for 3 one ton truck chassis for the Street Department,
28 seconded by Mr. Willis and on unanimous voice vote the motion was
29 carried.

31 Mr. Burton moved upon recommendation of Capt. Scott Loper, Traffic
32 Division to remove three parking spaces located on the west side of
33 North 8th Street between the Promenade and the first alley north in
34 the first block of North 8th Street, seconded by Mr. Judge and on
35 unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

37 Claude E. Goins, Building Commissioner, presented the Bureau of
38 Buildings report for the month of August, 1975 as follows:
