SPECIAL MEETING
BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS & SAFETY OF THE
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, MAY 22, 1975
1 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
2 met in special session May 22, 1975 at the hour of 1 :30 P.M. in the
3 Municipal Building in said City. Mr. Judge presided with Mr. Willis
4 present. Mr. Burton was absent. The following business was had to-
5 wit:

7 Mr. Judge examined proof of publication for 4200 Lineal Feet of Four
8 Lane Highway from Interstate 70 - 4200 Feet South and found it to
9 be in order.

11 Mr. Judge moved to accept and file proof of publication, seconded
12 by Mr. Willis and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

14 The Board received one bid from Magaw Construction Co. , Richmond,
15 Indiana, in -the amount of $635,018.81 .

17 Mr. Judge moved to take the bid from Magaw Construction under advise-
18 ment, seconded by Mr. Willis and on unanimous voice vote the motion
19 was carried.

21 Mr.- Judge moved to award bid for air compressor and jack hammer for
22 the Street Department to Korte Bros. Fort Wayne, Ind. in the amount
23 of $4590.00 upon recommendation of Street Commissioner Elmer Toschlog,
24 seconded by Mr. Willis and on unanimous voice vote the motion was '
25 carried.

27 Mr. Judge stated Rudd Equip. Co. 's bid was the lowest but the model
28 they bidded on had a bigger motor than was advertised for in the
29 specifications and it would be more costly to operate.

31 Mr. Judge moved to award bid for two fire hose dryers to the lowest
32 bidder, Mid West Fire & Safety in the amount of $3794.00, seconded
33 by Mr. Willis and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

35 There being no further business on motion duly made, seconded and
36 passed, the meeting was adjourned.
