BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS & SAFETY OF THE
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, APRIL 17, 1975
1 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond , Indiana,
2 met in regular session April 17, 1975 at the hour of 9:00 a.m. in the
3 Municipal Building in said City. Mr. Burton presided with Mr. Judge
4 and Mr. Willis present. The following business was had to-wit:

6 Mr. Willis moved to approve the minutes of the previous meeting,
7 seconded by Mr. Judge and on unanimous voice vote the motion was
8 carried.

10 Mr. Al Taylor of Greenwood Apartments appeared before the Board request-
11 ing a Security Guard for Greenwood Apartments. He said the salary would
12 be paid by Greenwood.

14 Louis E. Gibbs, Chief of Police, requested that Joe Arnet Webster be
15 appointed a Special Police Officer to be employed as a Security Guard
16 at Greenwood Apartments.

18 Mr. Burton moved to appoint Joe Arnet Webster as a Special Police Officer,
19 Security Guard, with his powers limited to the. Greenwood Apartments
20 and grounds effective Friday, April 18, 1975, seconded by Mr. Judge
21 and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

23 Mr. Burton moved to approve curb cut request for the First National
24 Bank Drive-In located at North 7th and "A" Streets as per revised site
25 plan dated April 15, 1975 and the entrance and exits be as per the
26 revised site plan and also subject to their getting State Highway
27 approval , seconded by Mr. Willis and on unanimous voice vote the
28 motion was carried.

30 Mr. Judge moved to award bid for Multi-level Parking Garage, Division
31 2, Sitework, Sections 2A & 2B, to Mike DeLucio and Son in the amount
32 of $97,860.00 with Alter. No. 1 in the amount of $675.00 to be
33 rejected and to authorize John Simons , Architect, to notify the con-
34 tractor, seconded by Mr. Burton and on unanimous voice vote the
35 motion was carried.

37 Mr. Judge moved to advertise for bids for Section A-1 , Complete Construc-
38 tion of the Multi-level parking garage to be received Tuesday, May
39 13, 1975 at 2:00 p.m. , seconded by Mr. Burton and on unanimous voice
40 vote the motion was carried.

42 Capt. Scott Loper, Traffic Division, reported "Slow and Caution" signs
43 will be installed at the alley on South "I'." Street.

45 Mr. Burton moved to grant permission to move a log cabin from the
46 . corner of South 12th and "J" Streets to Garrison School on Sunday,
47 April 20th or the 27th subject to the route being approved by Captain
48 Loper and that State Highway approval be granted, seconded by Mr. Judge
49 and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

51 Mr. Judge moved to submit ordinances to Council appropriating $78,500.00
52 from the Cigarette Tax Fund and $706,500.00 from Local Road & Street
53 Fund for R & S #11 , Engineering, Right of Way and Construction of
54 Williamsburg Pike, seconded by Mr. Willis and on unanimous voice vote
55 the motion was carried.

57 There being no further business on motion duly made, seconded and
58 passed, the meeting was adjourned.
