HomeMy Public PortalAbout04-10-1975 BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS & SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, APRIL 10, 1975 1 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, 2 met in regular session April 10, 1975, at the hour of 9:00 a.m. in the 3 Municipal Building in said City. Mr. Burton presided with Mr. Judge 4 and Mr. Willis present. The following business was had to-wit: 5 6 Mr. Willis moved to approve the minutes of the previous meeting, seconded 7 by Mr. Judge and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. 8 9 Rebecca Metzger, 815 South "I" Street appeared before the Board requesting 10 the alley behind her home be made one-way going north. 11 12 Capt. Scott Loper, Traffic Division, will take the request under advise- 13 ment and report back next week. 14 15 Louis E. Gibbs, Chief of Police, requested permission for Detective 16 Sergeants Todd Thompson and John M. Ross to attend a Seminar on Homicide 17 Investigation, to be held at Cincinnati , Ohio from May 19 to 24, 1975. 18 19 Mr. Judge moved to grant permission for Todd Thompson and John M. 20 Ross to attend the Seminar on Homicide Investigation with the stipula- 21 tion that they drive their own car, seconded by Mr. Burton and on 22 unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. 23 24 Mr. Willis moved to approve request for curb cuts for the Waffle House 25 on National Road West as per plans submitted subject to the fence 26 along the West boundry to extend to a point ten (10) feet north of the 27 property line and the fence to meet the requirements of the zoning and 28 other City Ordinances and the Plan Department. In the event of 29 commercial use of the property to the west, the petitioner or owner 30 of the subject property shall negotiate and reach an agreement with the 31 owner of the property adjoining to the west for the joint use of the 32 curb cut and driveway herein granted on National Road West. The 33 motion was seconded by Mr. Burton and on unanimous voice vote the 34 motion was carried. 35 36 Mr. Burton moved to adopt Declaratory Resolution No. 5-1975 to vacate 37 an alley south of the First National Bank drive-in lot between South 38 7th and South 8th Streets and to advertise for public hearing to 39 be held May 1 , 1975 at 9:10 a.m. , seconded by Mr. Judge and on unani- 40 mous voice vote the motion was carried. 41 42 Captain Scott Loper, Traffic Division, appeared before the Board 43 requesting procedures be set up regarding moving houses in the City 44 of Richmond. 45 46 Claude E.
