BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS & SAFETY OF THE
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, JANUARY 2, 1975
1 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
2 met in regular session January. 2, 1974 at the hour of 9:00 a.m. in
3 the Municipal Building in said City. Mr. Judge, Mr. Burton and Mr.
4 Willis were present. The following business was had to-wit:

6 Mr. Willis moved to approve the minutes of the previous meeting, se-
7 conded by Mr. Burton and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

9 Mr. Willis moved to elect Mr. Burton president of the Board of Public
10 Works and Safety for the coming year, seconded by Mr. Judge and on
11 unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

13 Mr. Burton appointed Mr. Judge as the Board's representative to the
14 Plan Commission.

16 Louis E. Gibbs, Chief of Police, presented the following letter:

23 I request permission to send Officers Claude Loudy and Kirk
24 Simonds to the Thirty Fourth Session of the Basic Law Enforce-
25 ment Training Course to be conducted at the Indiana Law
26 Enforcement Academy, Plainfield, Indiana, January 6, 1975 to
27 March 14, 1975.

29 The only cost to the Department will be for transportation.

35 Mr. Judge moved to grant permission to send Officers Claude Loudy and
36 Kirk Simonds to the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy January 6th thru
37 March 14, 1975, seconded by Mr. Willis and on unanimous voice
38 vote the motion was carried.

--, 40 Mr. Burton moved to submit an ordinance to Council appropriating
41 $17,000 from the Cumulative Storm Sewer Fund for the final engineering
42 design to elimniate the flooding problem at the South 16th Street
-43 ditch, seconded by Mr. Judge and on unanimous voice vote the motion
44 was carried.

46 Mr. Judge reported a resolution will be sent to Council authorizing the
47 Controller to invest certain idle funds during the year 1975.

49 There being no further business on motion duly made, seconded and
t 50 passed, the meeting was adjourned.
