BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS & SAFETY OF THE
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, DECEMBER 30, 1974
1 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
2 met in special session December 30, 1974 at the hour of 10:00 a.m.
3 in the Municipal Building in said City for the purpose of awarding
4 Fire Station bids. Mr. Judge presided with Mr. Willis present. Mr.
5 Burton was absent. The following business was had to-wit:

7 Mr. Judge moved to award contract for the Fire Stations as follows:

9 General Construction for Fire Station No. 3 to Kutter Construction
10 in the amount of $49,513.00 and for Fire Station No. 2 to Kutter
11 Construction in the amount of $53,080.00 for a total of $102,593.00.

13 Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning for both fire stations to
14 Wagner-Martin Corp. in the amount of $35,000.00.

16 Electric for both fire stations to Melling Electric in the
17 amount of $27,270.00.

19 Mr. Willis seconded the motion and on unanimous voice vote the
20 motion was carried.

22 There being no further business on motion duly made, seconded and
23 passed, the meeting was adjourned.

37 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
38 met in regular session January 2, 1975 at the hour of 9:00 a.m. in
39 the Municipal Building in said City. Mr. Judge, Mr. Burton and Mr.
40 Willis were present. The following business was had to-wit:

42 Mr. Willis moved to approve the minutes of the previous meeting,
43 seconded by Mr. Burton and on unanimous voice vote the motion was
44 carried.

46 Mr. Willis moved to elect Mr. Burton president of the Board of Public
47 Works and Safety for the coming year, seconded by Mr. Judge and on
48 unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

50 Mr. Burton appointed Mr. Judge as the Board 's representative to the
51 Plan Commission.

60 I request permission to send Officers Claude Loudy and Kirk
61 Simonds to the Thirty Fourth Session of the Basic Law Enforce-
62 ment Training Course to be conducted at the Indiana Law
63 - Enforcement Academy, Plainfield, Indiana January 6, 1975 to
64 March 14, 1975.

9 Mr. Judge moved to grant permission to send Officers Claude Loudy
10 and Kirk Simonds to the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy January 6th
11 thru March 14, 1975, seconded by Mr. Willis and on unanimous voice
42 vote the motion was carried.

14 Mr. Burton moved to submit an ordinance to Council appropriating
15 $17,000 from the Cumulative Storm Sewer Fund for the final engineering
16 design to eliminate the flooding problem at the South 16th Street
17 ditch, seconded by Mr. Judge and on unanimous voice vote the motion
18 was carried.

20 Mr. Judge reported a resolution will be sent to Council authorizing
21 the Controller to invest certain idle funds during the year 1975.

23 There being no further business on motion duly made, seconded and
24 passed, the meeting was adjourned.
