HomeMy Public PortalAbout12-05-1974 7- BOARD OF PUBLIC 'WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, DECEMBER 5 , 1974 1 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met 2 in regular session December 5', 1974, at the hour of 9:00 a.m. in the Muni- 3 cipal Building in said City. Mr. Judge presided with Mr. Burton and Mr. Willis 4 present. The following business was had to-wit: 5 6 Mr. Willis moved to approve the minutes of the previous meeting, seconded by 7 Mr. Judge and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. 111 8 9 Charles Howell , Administrative Assistant, said approximately 87 bus benches 10 have been inspected. He recommended an agreement be made whereby the City 11 can advertise on these benches for income to the City. 12 13 Mr. Burton moved to award contract for bus bences to Bench Ad of Indiana, 14 Inc. at a unit price of $49.90 subject to the condition that the benches 15 met specifications and that the City of Richmond be allowed to advertise 16 on them for income to the City, seconded by Mr. Judge and on unanimous voice 17 vote the motion was carried. 18 19 Safety Director Donald L. Strahan announced that R. H. Terwilliger, Architects 20 have completed specifications for the fire stations and they are on file 21 and may be examined at the following places: the Plan Room, F.W. Dodge 22 Corp. , Indianapolis ; Construction League of Indianapolis; Office of the 23 City Engineer, Richmond, Ind. ; and may be obtained from the Office of R.H. 24 Terwilliger, Architects, 1 Woodside Drive, Richmond, Indiana. A $25.00 25 deposit is required for each set. 26 27 Director Strahan encouraged local Home Builders to look at the specifications 28 and bid on them. 29 30 Mr. Willis moved to sign contract for the 20th Street Bridge project, seconded 31 by Mr. Judge and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. 32 33 Mr. Judge moved to authorize underground post top street lights for DeBolt 34 Lane and Cartwright Drive be added to the project list, seconded by Mr. 35 Willis and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. 36 37 Mr. Judge moved to authorize installation of one street light on South 3rd 38 and South "B" Street on existing pole, seconded by Mr. Burton and on unanimous 39 voice vote the motion was carried. 40 41 Building Commissioner Cluade E.
