BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS & SAFETY OF THE
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, FEBRUARY 7, 1974
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session February 7, 1974, at the hour of 9:00 a.m. in the
Municipal Building of said City. Mr. Judge presided with Mr. Burton and
Mr. Willis present. The following business was had to-wit:
Mr. Willis moved to approve the minutes of the previous meeting, seconded
by Mr. Burton and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.
Francis Daniels appeared before the Board requesting permission from the
Paul Quinn Masonic Lodge to have a parade on September 15th from 12 Noon to
3:00 p.m. The parade route would be 12th Street to 8th Street south to the
Amphitheater for a program.
Mr. Judge moved to take the request under advisement, seconded by Mr. Willis
and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.
Traffic Captain Scott Loper presented recommendations for parking in the
downtown area.
Mr. Judge moved to take the parking recommendations under advisement until
1 :00 p.m. Friday, February 8, 1974, seconded by Mr. Burton and on unanimous
voice vote the motion was carried.
Administrative Assistant Charles Howell recommended the bid received from
Foister Miracle for Tree Removal for 1974 be rejected and re-advertised.
Mr. Judge moved to reject Foister Miracles's bid for tree removal and to
re-advertise for bids to be taken February 21 , 1974 at 9:15 a.m. , seconded
by Mr. Burton and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

month of January:
