CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, NOVEMBER 21 , 1973
The Board of Public Works & Safety of the City of Richmond , Indiana, met in
regular session November 21 , 1973, at the hour of 9:00 a.m. in the Municipal
Building of said City. Mr. Judge presided with Mr. Burton and Mr. Willis
present. The following business was had to-wit:
Mr. Burton moved to approve the minutes of the previous meeting, seconded
by Mr. Willis and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.
Mr. Victor Frisch appeared before the Board with a proposed rate change from
the Transportation Committee for the Rose City Bus Lines that all fares will
be 25 or five tokens for $1 .00.
Mr. Judge moved to set a hearing for the Transportation Committee for 9:30 a.m.
November 29, 1973, seconded by Mr. Burton and on unanimous voice vote the
motion was carried.
Councilman Elstro with approval of Councilman Marino requested street lights
to be installed at alleys at the following locations:

Mr. Burton moved to authorize installation of street lights at alleys as per
request fo Councilman Elstro with the stipulation that Mr. Rees consult with
Councilman Elstro as to the exact locations, seconded by Mr. Judge and on
unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.
Mr. Judge moved the Board sign a contract with A & D Excavating for Parking
Lot, seconded by Mr. Burton and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.
Mr. Judge moved to accept bid and sign contract with Motorola in the amount
of $10,000.00 for City Dept. Communication system and in the amount of $94J00.00
for Fire Dept. Radios, seconded by Mr. Willis and on unanimous voice vote
the motion was carried.

Mr. Judge moved to take a curb request East of 2000 West Main Street under
advisement, seconded by Mr. Willis and on unanimous voice vote the motion was
carried.
Mr. Judge moved to authorize release of street lighting project No. 12, North
"F" Street to Whitewater River, 8th to 20th Street, seconded by Mr. Willis
and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

Mr. Judge moved to set fees for parking lots to be 25( for the first hour
and 15 after that with the maximum of $1 .00 per day, seconded by Mr. Burton
and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.
Mr. Judge announced there will be two-hour parking on the lots until the auto-
matic equipment is installed. (Free Parking) .
Mr. Judge moved to set December 6, 1973, at 9:15 a.m. to take bids for two
1974 Truck Chassis and one Dump Bed for the Street Dept. , seconded by Mr.
Willis and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.
There being no further business on motion duly made, seconded and passed,
the meeting was adjourned.
