BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS & SAFETY OF THE
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, JUNE 29,1973
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
met in special session June 29, 1973 at the hour of 2:00 p.m. in the
Municipal Building of said City. Mr. Judge presided with Mr. Burton
and Mr. Willis present. The following business was had to-wit:
Mr. Willis moved to present to Council for their consideration an Ordi-
nance to make Fort Wayne Avenue from North 5th to North 6th Street one-
way northbound due to the opening of the new United States Post Office
which would create further traffic conjestion and hazards under the
present traffic pattern of two-way traffic, seconded by Mr. Burton and
on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.
Mr. Willis moved to remove a street light located on the West side of
North 5th Street, near the intersection of Ft. Wayne Ave. , and that a
re-located pedestal shall be provided by the City Street Department
seconded by Mr. Judge and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.
There being no further business on motion duly made, seconded and passed,
the meeting was adjourned.
