The important part of the American Motors bid is their warranty
. . . " If the City of Richmond, Indiana, would purchase a total
of six units in any combination, we would provide full main-
tenance for 24,000 miles or 24 months, whichever comes first,
which would include the use of a car at no additional charge when-
ever car was brought in for service. This maintenance includes
all tune-ups, tires, batteries, oil , greases, filters, wheel
alignments, tire balances and 100% guarantee on transmission,
engine, differential at no charge.
All the other warranties are 12,000 miles or 12 months whichever
is earliest. It is an under statement to say that the second
12 months would tend to have more repairs than the 1st 12 months.
Also, this warranty contains items that are not included in the
normal warranty.
