Board of Public Works Richmond, Indiana To Whom it may concern: The Fuel Oil shortage which exists in this area as well as all over the country is, a factor that we considered and decided not to bid the remaining years fuel oil business offered by the City of Richmond, Indiana. We do have ample fuel oil to guarantee the City for the duration of this heating season but are unaware of the pricing conditon as it exists today. We have experienced 3¢ increases since the 1st week of December. This in itself would cause reluctance to firm a price at' this time. We would be happy to offer #1 & #2 Fuel Oil to the City at a rate of 4¢ off of the retail price in the Richmond area using the prices of all Major companys as a basis for establishing a retail price market. ( .206¢ per gallon) Sincerely Yours Oil Products Co.
