BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS & SAFETY OF THE
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, FEBRUARY 15, 1973
The Board of Public Works and Safety of_ the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in
regular session February 15, 1973 at the hour of 9:00 a.m. in the Municipal
Building of said City. Miss Wynegar presided with Mr. Benner present. Mr.
Judge was absent. The following business was had to-wit:
Mr. Benner moved to approve the minutes of the previous meeting, seconded by
Miss Wynegar and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.
Police Chief, Donald Strahan, presented the following to the Board:

Dear Board Members :
I request permission to attend an F.B.I . National Association retraining
session Thursday afternoon and evening February 15, 1973 at Fort Wayne,
Indiana.
Subject of the retraining will be "Firearms" , the guest speaker will be
F.B.I . Supervisor George Zeiss , F.B.I. Academy Quantico, Virginia.
There will blso be an installation of new officers in the Association.
I will be installed as 2nd Vice-President.

Miss Wynegar moved to grant permission for Chief Strahan to attend F.B.I .
National Association retraining session, seconded by Mr. Benner, and on
unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.
Miss Wynegar recommended the Board authorized the preparation of an ordinance
for Council 's consideration for a transfer within the Board of Works Budget for
$9,801 .00 from General Fund Cash Operating to Board of Public Works and Safety,
Current Charges , General J-34 (5-53) , Refunds , Awards and Indemnities, seconded
by Mr. Benner acid on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.
Miss Wynegar moved to authorize the Board's approval to install a street light
in the alley between South 8th and South 9th Streets at the corner of South "C"
Street, seconded by Mr. Benner and on unanimous voice vote the motion was
carried.
There being no further, business on motion duly made, seconded and passed, the
meeting was adjourned.
