SPECIAL MEETING
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in
special session on December 29, 1972 at 2:30 p.m. in the Municipal Building
of said City. The Board adopted these rules for minutemen.
RULES AND REGULATIONS
FOR
MINUTEMEN
I. Protective Clothing and Equipment
A. Regular fire fighting equipment and gear must be worn to each
fire alarm scene.
B. While on duty as a minuteman, the radio paging unit must be
within a reasonable hearing distance.
C. The care and maintenance of all equipment issued to the
individual minuteman becomes his responsiblity.
II. Training
A. Minutemen will maintain a level of training necessary to the
proper conduct of their duties.
B. Training will be conducted by the Drill Master or his authorized
representative. Minutemen will follow the instructions of
the Drill Master while in training drills.
C. Training will be conducted at the time and place as determined
by the Drill Master.
III. Duties and Responsibilities.
A. Respond with safety and dispatch to alarms from the proper
authority during the duty period.
B. When minutemen arrive at the fire scene, they will carry out
the orders of the officer in charge.
C. Minutemen will be discharged by the officer in charge.
There being no further business on motion duly made seconded and passed,
the meeting was adjourned.
