Benner City Engineer City of Richmond Richmond, Indiana 47374 RE: Sidewalk - Northwest 20th to 24th Street Dear Mr. Benner II/ In answer to your letter of October 31 , 1972 we are willing to pay up to $350.00 to cover concrete material costs and help our neighbors get the sidewalk they want. We understand that we will pay up to this amount at the conclusion of the project to the supplier. We understand the sidewalk will be four feet wide matching the existing sidewalk in the Del Layne Subdivision. We also understand the sidewalk will have a thickness of fuor inches and employ a minimum of fill material . We also understand that the sidewalk upon completion will become the sole responsibility of the City of Richmond in regards to repairs and maintenance. We have ground wires running out 400 feet from our tower in every direction. Because of this when they do the work on the sidewalk they will probably run into some of our ground wires and we want to be sure that they will not pull any of them out of the ground. I would like to suggest that the people doing the actual work check with our Chief Engineer, Lou Dunning on this ground wire situation before digging into the ground in preparation for the sidewalk. Best regards , CENTRAL BROADCASTING CORP. WKBV Lester G. Spencer President Mr. Benner thank WKBV for their attitude and cooperating in this project. Mr. Earl Mayer requested permission to remodel the building located at 436 West Main Street. Mr. Claude Goins, Building Commissioner, stated Mr. Mayer had to get a building permit and the approval of the Board of the canopy, Jer'ry-Judge, City Controller, moved to approve this request, seconded by Mr. Benner, and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. There being no further business on motion duly made, seconded and passed, the meeting was adjourned. Jerald J . Judge, President ATTEST: Virginia Cook, Clerk of the Board
