Pulido, City Manager By: Peggy Kuo, City Clerk SUBJECT: ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO. 13-4900 — MAYOR'S APPOINTMENTS TO CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEES AND DELEGATES AND ALTERNATES TO OTHER AGENCIES OR ORGANIZATIONS RECOMMENDATION: The City Council is requested to consider appointments to various committees and agencies and adopt proposed Resolution No. 13-4900 confirming those appointments. BACKGROUND: 1. On April 3, 2012, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 12-4810 confirming the Mayor's appointments to the various City Council committees and other governmental agencies or community organizations. 2. On March 19, 2013, the City Council reorganized and seated a new Mayor (Mayor Cynthia Sternquist) and Mayor Pro Tem (Mayor Pro Tem Carl Blum). ANALYSIS: Each year after the City Council reorganizes, and with Council input, the Mayor reviews and selects representative delegates and alternates to other governmental agencies and/or organizations. A listing of those organizations is attached as an exhibit (Exhibit 1) to the proposed resolution (Attachment "A"). Regular meeting days and times are indicated for each organization, as well as those agencies that pay a stipend for meeting attendance and have conflict of interest reporting requirements. Councilmembers serving as the delegate to these governmental agencies and/or City Council April 3, 2012 Page 2 recommendations regarding issues that may affect cities in the Los Angeles County. Delegates to these governmental agencies and/or organizations also have the official voting responsibilities. CONCLUSION: The City Council is requested to review the list of City Council committees and delegate appointments representing the City of Temple City at meetings of other governmental agencies or community organizations and to consider adoption of proposed Resolution No. 13-4900 making appointments to said committees, agencies and organizations. FISCAL IMPACT: This item does not have a fiscal impact on the Fiscal Year (FY) 2012-13 City Budget. r_llaETA: IJ,I=I,r1 A.
