Marty, Tony,
It probably would not take any more time, maybe a day or two at the most. Will this be a permanent installation? If so
we will need to get the wind load calcs and determine if it is a direct burial or anchor base.
On a side note, and for what it is worth, our paint finish is far superior to most companies in either the lighting or sign
industry and many projects suffer after a few years because the signs tend to fade and the lighting fixtures and poles do
not . Many of our customers experience this and try to get us to do both. I was disappointed that we could not supply
the signage but we are more than pleased to be considered for the lighting.
I am just curious about why we were not selected. We can arrange installation, make other signs and provide the DOT
slip away bases. If it is possible to share that info, it would make us a better partner for the future.
Thank you.
Let me know what I need to do to get the pole going.

Tony,
Do you know the difference in the timeframe for the installation of a 14-foot generic pole versus the ordering and
installation of a black, fluted pole to match the attached street sign pole?

Marty:
Please see Michael’s questions, below. If the mounting height is most important, I’d suggest the least expensive pole
available. If you would like them to see the entire assembly, as it would be ordered by the town, please let me know
which style you like. I can stop by to go over the styles if you wish.
Regards,

When do you think we would be able to get something set up at Town Hall? We are getting questions from the Town
Commission.
Thank you,

Tony, I assume we need a 14’ mounting height and the least expensive non decorative pole will do? Since it is temporary
do we need wind load calcs, hurricane rating, permits etc?
Or will you do a direct burial post and take it down a week later? 18’? (4’ in the ground?)

Do we need to order a pole for the mock up, too? If so, we should confirm the exact style. I can get a fixture in a sample
loan, but they will probably have to buy the pole. I'll check on that .

Tony,
The Town does not want to use the existing decorative light poles because the lights would be then too
short. The Town would like to see the LaJolla fixture on a 14 foot high pole, which is what they are
looking to install within the town. The Town would be happy to pay a fee or whatnot to help facilitate

this. They would like to make this happen asap so they can keep the Town Council focused on this
before they move on to something else.
I am seeing Bill Thrasher in the morning and I will follow up to see what the status of the street signs is.
Thanks,marty

Marty
We might be able to Utilize the existing poles on site down at the town hall and take off one
of their existing outdated decorative heads for the mock up. I had thought of that option
while we were sitting there. If you are in the town hall meeting room and look out the East
and South windows there are existing 3” Aluminum poles out there with existing decorative
heads that have some age to them. We would need to confirm that the aluminum pole is
indeed 3”. I will let you and Tony discuss further and make the call. Just a thought. Good
meeting you last week thanks for supporting us.
Thanks again,
RH

Tony,
th
On March 15, the Gulf Stream Town Commission selected the La Jolla light fixture over the Windsor
model. They asked that the LaJolla light fixture and pole be temporarily set up at Town Hall so the light
can be viewed at night.
Hopefully, you can make this happen. Please let me know when you would have a crew set up the light,
so I can coordinate with Town Hall.
Thank you much,
marty
