Hidden Harbour Drive - Gulf Stream - Underground Power
Bill,
Concerning Hidden Harbour South, We are installing an FPL cable that will connect the transformer at the west end of the street and provide for a loop service to the Hidden Harbour homes.
This allows the restoration of power to the Hidden Harbour homes by simple and quick switching operations in the event of a cable failure. FPL no longer installs the radial type facilities
they have as they require cables to be repaired before service can be restored. We are of the understanding that the deed providing for the Town to use the easement for street and highway
purposes includes the use for utilities as is common in the Town. We are having our attorneys review the documents and are awaiting their response. These cables are typically deep and
as such, do not pose a danger to the tree roots. We will provide landscaping to when the facilities are installed to shield the equipment and restore the buffers. I will get back to
you when our attorneys respond to me.
Concerning the removal of the conduit in front of Marty’s residence, We have removed some of it already. We are working with our contractor to determine the best means of removing the
balance of the conduit. The conduit is not and will not be used.

You should stop the installation of the underground power down the Hidden Harbour Drive (the road from A1A to HHE).
Based upon our records, no one has the right to install underground power in this road area. Our records indicate that the use of this road area is strictly limited to a road and a
water line and any other use is prohibited.
Of course, we might be missing an important document. Do you have a document that gives you the right to install the underground power in this road area? If so please send that to
us immediately.
The installation of your equipment in this road area, if you do not have the right, will create a title nightmare for the owners of the HHE lots and severely affect their property values.
