As a teacher at the local elementary school, I have gladly spent
this year masked-both in my classroom and in the community at
large. We have worked hard to protect each other and our
students with the high hope of returning to the 21-22 school

year in a "regular" model where students are able to attend
school daily. Eliminating the mask mandate just before our
town explodes with summer tourism would be a poor decision
that could greatly jeopardize what we have tediously worked to
achieve. I believe it significantly narrows our opportunity to
return to school in the Fall at full capacity-an event that would
negatively impact our community. Please consider continuing
the mask mandate through the summer season in order to safe-
guard our friends, families, and children that will be working
and serving visitors, and to ensure a full start to the 22-22
school year. Thank you for your consideration.
