THE CITY OF BEL AIRE, KANSAS
ORDINANCE NO. 492 A
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE
DESIGNATION OF A CERTAIN THROUGH STREET
AND FOR THE ERECTION OF A STOP SIGN AT A
CERTAIN INTERSECTION; SPECIFYING THE
PARTICULAR INTERSECTION AS A STOP
INTERSECTION; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES
FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF BEL AIRE,
KANSAS:
Section 1. Stop Sign Location
When a stop sign is erected and maintained giving notice thereof, drivers of
vehicles shall stop at the following intersection before entering the following street:
WOODLAWN STREET
When entering westbound from Bethany Drive.
The list of stop sign locations contained in Section 12.2.1 of the Code of the
City of Bel Aire, Kansas shall be updated to include this intersection.
Section 2. Penalty
The penalty for any person found guilty of failing to obey a stop sign shall be

provided in the edition of the "Standard Traffic Ordinance for Kansas Cities"
adopted and in effect within the corporate limits of the City of Bel Aire, Kansas at
the time of the alleged violation.
Section 3. Effective Date
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication
in the official city newspaper.
Passed by the City Council this 3rd day of August, 2010.
Approved by the Mayor this 3rd day of August, 2010.
