3. Classification and Valuation of RCTC Properties
Overview
Incorporated in this report is the classification of all properties and the valuation of the
miscellaneous parcels which were included. in the purchase of the Santa Fe Railway
Property. Staff recommendation is to accept the classification and valuation of RCTC
properties as stated.
4. Transfer of Prophyry Spur
Overview
This is an unresolved item regarding the RCTC 1992 purchase of tracks from the Atchison,
Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Company. Title has not yet been conveyed to RCTC. Staff
recommendation is to secure the Prophyry Spur in fee title and determine whether to
negotiate a sale agreement with 3M.
5. Rail Right -of -Way - Outdoor Advertising
There are concerns relating to the types of advertising on billboards located on RCTC-owned
rails right-of-way properties. Legal Counsel will provide information whether the
Commission could limit advertising on the billboards and if a policy could be adopted.
