A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY'OF LYNWOOD DECLA
CERTAIN CITY OWNED VEHICLES AND EQUIPMENT AS SURPLUS PROP
AND AUTHORIZING STAFF TO DISPOSE OF SAID SURPLUS PROP
THROUGH A PUBLIC AUCTION
WHEREAS, it is the intent of the City to dispose of the surplus property through a
public auction; and
WHEREAS, the disposition of the vehicles declared as surplus under tl
Resolution is made under the discretion of the City's Purchasing Officer pursuant
Lynwood Municipal Code Section 6 -3.14.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOI
HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That pursuant to Lynwood Municipal Code Section 6 -3.14, the C
Council declares certain city owned vehicles and equipment (Attachment A) as surpl
property.
Section 2. That the City's Purchasing Officer or designee shall dispose of t
surplus vehicles and equipment pursuant to Lynwood Municipal Code Section 6 -3.14.
Section 3. That any items deemed unsellable will be disposed of properly.
Section 4. . That staff will solicit proposals from auctioneering companies and
select the most beneficial to the City following the Purchasing Ordinance No. 1571
parameters.
. . Section 4. That the City Manager or designee is authorized to appropriate and
transfer any proceeds from the disposition to the Automotive Equipment Fund, account
number 7011.45.420.66025.
Section 5. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption
Section 6. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
