A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYN1
AUTHORIZING STAFF TO SEND OUT REQUESTS FOR PROPOSALS
ELECTRONIC DATA PROCESSING AND MAILING SERVICES AND AUTHOF
THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A THREE MONTH EXTENSION FOR THE CUF
CONTRACT
I
WHEREAS, in January 2013, the City entered into a one -year contract ext
with Infosend, Inc. to provide utility bill printing and mailing',services; and
WHEREAS, the contract expires on January 31, 2014, with the option to contin
on a month -to -month basis. The City would like to extend ,the contract for another thr
months until April 30, 2014, for which Infosend, Inc. has agreed to, with no increase
rates: and
WHEREAS, it is a common practice by cities to solicit proposals for ce
services. The City would like to send out requests for proposals and have
opportunity to select the service that would be most effectibe, and efficient; and
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DC
HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council approves a three month extension for the
electronic data processing and mailing services contract with Infosend, Inc. to expire
April 30, 2014.
Section 2. That staff be authorized and directed to send out Requests
Proposals for Electronic Data Processing and Mailing Services.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
