Stick pipe is normally only used where reels are not feasible for layout or size/weight considerations. For instance, 8” and above with a thicker SDR. These are usually in 40’ sections. The added issues are  Increased fusing with increases the cost per foot enormously  If the area is limited forcing fusing on the run that can increase the cost as well. The best way is to have enough area to fuse a long section. So in essence we would be manufacturing our own “reel” anyway.  Each Fuse creates a “bead” inside the conduit that can impede pulling. Especially if the plan is to pull inner-duct at some point. I have to run now but I will get cost information for you. I would think that any savings they might find in material would be more than eaten up in additional costs of installation. , Regards John Zoerhof Division Manager – Power Services Direct 954.917.1439 Cell 954.448.0369 954.978.9300 – Main 954.978.8666. - Fax Please consider the environment before printing this e-mail  NOTICE: This email is intended solely for the use of the individual to whom it is addressed and may contain information that is privileged, confidential or otherwise exempt from disclosure.
