MINUTES
APRIL 5 AND APRIL 6, 2023
10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Council Chambers
Jayce Vanderford opened each of the virtual demonstrations.
The committee members on the evaluation team are Carlos Jones, Dawn Barnes, Jayce
Vanderford, Stephanie Raybon and Heather Sutton. Also present at the demonstrations were
Public Services Director Michael Criddle, Executive Assistant Robin Thrailkill, Brandon Bolton
with Public Services, and Grants and Budget Analyst Wendy Buttke.
The demonstrations on April 5th were provided by Trimble/City Works and Central Square. The
demonstrations on April 6th were provided by Cartegraph and KloudGin. Each of the vendors
had ninety minutes to present demonstrations based on the scenarios that they received that
would clearly show how the product would be used on routine processes at Public Services.
After each demonstration, the evaluation team commented on how the software fit in their daily
workflow, as well as whether the demonstrations would require much training.
Based on the evaluation score sheet and comments on workflow processes, user-friendly
modules, work order creation, understandable format, resource time, integration, pinpoint areas,
and the coverage of each scenario, Cartegraph was exceedingly the choice of the majority of the
committee, as only one participant chose KloudGin. No one preferred either CityWorks or
Central Square as possible top two choices.
The committee ranked their choices immediately after the KloudGin demonstration and handed
them to the City Clerk. City Clerk M. Schrader announced that Cartegraph was the number one
choice.
