AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS TO
THE CITY OF IONA, IDAHO; DESCRIBING THESE
LANDS; REQUIRING THE FILING OF THE
ORDINANCE AND AMMENDED CITY MAP AND
AMENDED LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF THE CITY
WITH THE APPROPRIATE COUNTY AND STATE
AUTHORITIES; AND ESTABLISHING EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the land described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto is contiguous and
adjacent to the City of Iona and is subject to annexation to the City of Iona pursuant to
the provisions of Section 50-222, Idaho Code, as amended; and
WHEREAS, it appears to the Mayor and City Council that this land should be
annexed to and become a part of the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IONA, IDAHO, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. This land described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto is hereby
annexed to the City of Iona.
Section 2. The City Clerk shall file a certified copy of this Ordinance with the
Bonneville County Auditor, Treasurer and Assessor within ten (10) days after the
effective date hereof. The City Engineer shall, within ten (10) days after such effective
date, file an amended legal description and map of the City, with the Bonneville County
Recorder and Assessor and the Idaho State Tax Commission, all in accordance with
Idaho Code, Section 63-2215.

Section 3. This Ordinance shall be effective upon its passage, execution and
publication in the manner provided by law.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IONA, on the 24th day
of January 2001, and signed by the Mayor on the 24th day of January 2001.

Beginning at o point that is S 00' 11 '45" E 850.24 feet along
the section line from the NW corner of said Section 6 and
running thence N 89' S7'36" E 396.80 feet; thence
S 00 43'27" W 665.64 feet to the south line .of Deed
Instrument No. 872118; thence S 89' 38'13" W 386.11 feet
along said south line to the west line of said Section 6;

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 24t day of January 2001 at the hour of
7:30PM, the City Council of the City of Iona will conduct a public hearing for the
purpose of considering the annexation and zoning of approximately 6 acres of real
property located generally at 4600 North 5500 East (approximately 1/4 mile south of the
intersection of Iona North Road and Telford Road on the east side of the canal), Iona,
Idaho. The public hearing will be conducted at the Iona City building, 3548 North Main,
Iona, Idaho.

7:30 p.m., the City Council of the City of Iona will conduct a public hearing for the
purpose of considering the annexation and zoning of approximately 6 acres of real
property located generally at 4600 North 5500 East (approximately'/a mile south of the
intersection of Iona North Road and Telford Road on the east side of the canal), Iona,
Idaho. The public hearing will be conducted at the Iona City building, 3548 North Main,
Iona, Idaho.
