The following was presented and read in full: November 9, 1967 Mr. Henry Jameson, President Richmond Board of Public Works Municipal Building Richmond, Indiana Dear Mr. Jameson: I am writing you pursuant to our conversation on Monday, November 6, 1967. As you will recall, the talk was concerned with the transfer of funds to permit installa- tion and maintenance of a telephone system in the Gilcrest Building, 7 North Third Street, Richmond, Indiana. I would like to ask the Board of Works to endorse and forward to the Common Council a resolution to transfer funds within the same budget classification to permit III installation of the phone system. The following is therefore requested: Transfer by Resolution From account Cp-6. The Clerk presented proof of publication of Notice To Bidders published in the Richmond Palladium-Item, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Richmond, Indiana on the dates of October 30th and November 9th, 1967. Said notice designated that sealed proposals would be received until the hour of 10:00 a.m. (est) November 16, 1967 for furnishing labor and material for the construction of a storm sewer at the Blks Road and Pinehurst Dive. The proof of publication was found to be correct and in order. Mr. Keller moved the proof of publication be received and filed:,, seconded by Mr. Gehr and on voice vote was carried. November 16, 1967 at the hour of 10:00 o'clock a.m. (est) being the time and date designated to open and read aloud all bids received. The following bids were received and read aloud: Mike DeLucio and Son $2,059.00 / DeBolt Construction Company, Inc. $1,815.00 III The bid of the DeBolt Company was found to be the lowest bid and in order. Mr. Gehr moved the bid be accepted, seconded by Mr. Keller and on voice vote was carried. The Board extended the moratorium on burning of leaves until December 17, 1967. Mr. Jameson presiding with the following members present: Mr. Gehr and Mr. Keller. The following business was had to wit: Mr. Jameson announced that this Special Meeting was called for the express purpose of opening and reading aloud the sealed proposals received for the purchase of bonds of the City of Richmond, Indiana designated as "City Hall-Fire Station Bonds of 1967". The Clerk presented proof of publication of "BondsSale Notice, City Hall-Fire Station Bonds of 1967' , City of Richmond, Indiana printed in the Richmond Palladium, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Richmond, Indiana on the 10th day of November 1967 'and also in the Indianapolis Commercial, a daily newspaper of general circulation in the City of Indianapolis, Indiana on the date of November 10, 1967. The proofs of publications were examined and found to be correct and in order. Mr. Keller moved the proofs of publications be received and filed, seconded by Mr. Gehr and on voice vote was carried. Mr. Jameson presiding with the following member being present: Mr. Gehr. Mr. Keller being absent. The following business was had to-wit: Mr. Gehr moved the minutes of the Special meeting of November 15, 1967 be approved without being read aloud, seconded by Mr. Jameson and on voice vote was carried. Mr. Gehr moved the minutes of the meeting of November 16, 1967 be approved with- out being read aloud, seconded by Mr. Jameson and on voice vote was carried. Mr. Gehr moved the claims be allowed and paid, seconded by Mr. Jameson and on voice vote was carried. Mr. Gehr moved the following be made a matter of record, seconded by Mr. Jameson and on voice vote was carried. November 17, 1967 Board of Public Works and Safety City Building Richmond, Indiana Subject: Berry Field Sewer Contracts Gentlemen: The DeBolt Concrete Company, Inc. agrees with the action taken by the Board of Public Works and Safety in its meeting (November 16, 1967) cancelling contracts Berry Field Storm Sewer ($73,565.00) dated July 18, 1963, and Berry Field Storm Sewer ($54,987,00) dated October 23, 1967. This letter is evidence that the DeBolt Concrete Company, Inc. will relieve the Richmond Board of Public Works and Safety from any liability whatsoever with releasing of the above stated contracts.
