This contract also contained an exclusive Commercial Front Load and Rol - Off piece. Waste Pro did a superb job transitioning into our County. Due to good service provided by Waste Pro and their local team, Wakulla County has recently renewed the contract for an additional four (4) years. It is my opinion that Wakulla County made the right decision twelve (12) years ago to contract with Waste Pro and that other Counties/Cities would benefit from doing the same. Please do not hesitate to co act me with any questions. k Davi Co. Ed`.vaMs ty Administrator City of Cape Canaveral TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: The purpose of this letter is to formally and publicly commend Waste Pro for the excellent service — provided to the City of Cape Canaveral. Waste Pro's dedicated services to Cape Canaveral include: residential, commercial, yard waste and single stream recycling. On October 1, 2009, the City granted a Franchise. Agreement to Waste Pro for a five-year period. Waste Pro's level of service to the City has been exceptional, which recently led City Council, at the March 19th City Council Meeting, to renew the solid waste franchise agreement until 2024. Waste Pro services over 10,000 residents and 150+ businesses (including four major hotels and 34 restaurants) in Cape Canaveral with very few complaints and we hear frequent compliments from both residents and business owners. The Waste Pro route drivers have a reputation in our City of being courteous, safe and efficient. In 2018, the City conducted a nine -week online Community Survey in order to collect anonymous resident opinions and concerns related to numerous City matters. One question in particular asked respondents to indicate their level of satisfaction with each City service. Respondents indicated their level of satisfaction from very satisfied to very dissatisfied. Waste removal had the highest ranking of all City services with a satisfaction level of 77%, Two of the submitted comments are: "WastePro was such a huge improvement over Waste Management!" and 'Trash and yard waste service is outstanding." Although the City's Community Services Department often serves as the Community liaison during trash/recycle related issues, many requests, compliments and sometimes complaints are registered within a third party tracking system called TracEz. The following were compliments left in the TracEz system between 2009-2019: "Very friendly staff every time we run into them" and "your service is great, much better than waste mgmt." Previous performance evaluations show that over the last decade Waste Pro has kept a positive/clean safety record, and that they strive for a safe environment for its Staff and our Community. Before, during and after Hurricane Matthew and Hurricane Irma, Waste Pro Staff was in constant contact, available immediately for service post storm and cleared Cape Canaveral of debris as fast as they could. The local Waste Pro management team has been very supportive in our Community events including helping to enhance our City's recycling efforts and being in attendance with staff and equipment at Community outreach sessions. I would recommend Waste Pro to any town, city or county seeking solid waste and recycling collection services. Waste Pro has had a positive impact on the City of Cape Canaveral - whether it be a regular pick-up day or after a natural disaster. Should you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me by phone or email. Sincerely Robert E. They have been our vendor for more than eleven years now; they service approximately 9,000 residential homes as well as our business community. The transition to Waste Pro was well thought out, prepared and just plain easy. They continue to live up to their promises and now we take less than 10% of the calls we did before we made the change. As the downtown commercial area has grown and changed, Waste Pro has accommodated our changing collection needs, In addition to doing a good job, they are good Community partners. They participate in Chamber events, Earth Day, Art Festivals, etc. Waste Pro is working closely with the City and the Environmental Review Board to implement more green initiatives. I hope this helps you in your decision. Sincerely, Michelle Neuner Assistant City Manager Kevin L. The City Commission of Lake Mary, Florida awarded a bid for commercial and residential solid waste collection and disposal services and subsequently entered into a franchise agreement with Waste Pro of Florida, Inc. for said services effective March 1, 2015. Since then, the City Commission approved five (5) amendments to this agreement. Upon inception of the agreement, Waste Pro effected a smooth transition from the City's prior solid waste service provider, delivering uninterrupted service with minimal impact on our business (approximately 311 containers and 5,199 residential customers). City staff has found Waste Pro to be very responsive to issues and concerns brought forth by the City. The City's relationship with Waste Pro has been a positive and mutually beneficial one. hope this information is helpful when considering Waste Pro's response to your proposal. In 2007 WastePro replaced a company that had not served us well, and it was a excellent move for us. Instead of excuses and reports showing percentage of complaints, WastePro gets the job done. On the rare occasion something is missed, they are quick to correct it. They are accessible and responsive to both our staff and to our elected officials. We can always depend on them to provide us additional assistance during storm clean up, they are a good corporate citizen, and they are working on green initiatives such as CNG fueled trucks. Our contract with WastePro is scheduled to expire this year and rather than going to bid, we will be exercising the option to extend our existing contract based on our experience with them. I was the sitting Mayor of Panama City Beach and I want to commend the courage, efforts, professionalism, and true sense of community. That Waste Pro displayed only hours after the end of the hurricane. As our staff and I assessed the damage in the City, one thing became clear. The amount of trash would be on a large scale. Citizens were already emptying their freezers and refrigerators of thawing food. Trash from the storm was piling up on the side of the roads. Panama City Beach had several companies providing garbage service at the time. I called them all and only one answered, Waste Pro. After discussing our situation with Loyd Childree, the Division Manager. We put into place a plan in part from an already existing Waste. Pro Storm plan_ Over the next several days, Waste Pro picked up not only their customer's trash. They picked up trash from every home in Panama City Beach, Waste Pro had trucks from the surrounding area, here in a couple of days and even had trucks in from as far away as South Carolina. Waste Pro kept this going until the other haulers started coming back in. All of this without question. Special thanks to Chris Nash and his team of drivers and helpers.
