STATE OF FLORIDA,
CONTRACT FOR ANNEXATION
COUNTY OF OKALOOSA,
WHEREAS, the CITY OF CRESTVIEW, Okaloosa County, Florida,
a municipality organized under the laws of the State of Florida,
hereinafter referred to as the CITY; is desirous of annexing
certain properties which would be beneficial to the citizens
of said CITY; and that such annexation is needed to provide
additional area for the growth and development of said CITY; and
WHEREAS, BEATRICE ROPER a/k/a BEATRICE SHAFFER, a single
woman, hereinafter referred to as OWNER, recognizes the need
of the CITY to annex a portion of the land owned by her and
others, and understands the need for the annexation of the
property to the CITY limits of the City of Crestview; and
WHEREAS, it is to the mutual benefit of all the parties
for the property to be annexed:
NOW, THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the mutual
promises contained herein it is agreed as follows:
1. That the OWNER does hereby consent to the annexation
of certain properties, and by this instrument the land herein-
after described are hereby annexed into the City of Crestview,
under the terms and conditions hereinafter stated, said
property being described as follows:
A strip of land 200 feet wide, 100 feet on either
side of the center line of permanent easement
(SEE EXHIBIT "A" ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART
HEREOF.)
2. The CITY does hereby accept the land for annexation
and by the execution of this instrument does hereby annex
such land.
3. It is agreed that the land is now being used for
agricultural purposes and the CITY agrees that such land shall
be zoned for such purposes, and shall so remain until such
time that the land shall be developed or used for other purposes.
4. It is specifically agreed that the OWNER may construct
such embankments as are necessary for the impounding of water,
and may maintain such lakes as long as they are consistent with
the easement executed simultaneously herewith.

5. That it is further understood and agreed that the
OWNER will not be compelled to connect any provided residents
to the sewer system being constructed on the easement referred
to above unless and until such time as the State of Florida,
Department of Pollution Control shall so dictate.
6. This agreement is executed upon the CITY paying
the sum of Eight Thousand and 00/100 ($8,000.00) Dollars
to OWNER.
