HomeMy Public PortalAboutOrd 1831 Proof of PublicationPage 1 of l NOTICE OF PROPOSED ENACTMENT OF AN ORDINANCE Pursuant to Article 4, Chapter 102 of the City Code and Section! 66.041 Florida Statutes, the Crestview City Council proposes to adopt the follow- ing ordinance set forth by title as follows: ORDINANCE: 1831 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CRESTVIEW, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR AMENDMENT OF THE CITY OF CRESTVIEW CODE OF ORDINANCES, SECTION 86-1 ADOPTION OF FLORIDA UNIFORM TRAFFIC CONTROL LAW: SECTION 86-25, DEFINITIONS; SECTION 86-26, MANNER OF PARKING; SECTION 86-27, UNATTENDED MOTOR VEHICLE; SECTION 86- 28, STOPPING, STANDING AND PARKING PROHIBITED IN SPECIFIED AREAS; SECTION 86- 31, PARKING PROHIBITED AT ALL TIMES ON CERTAIN DESIG- NATED STREETS; SECTION 86-32 OVERTIME PARKING IN PARK- ING ZONES; SECTION 86-37, REMOVAL AND IMPOUNDING OF ILLEGALLY PARKED, ABAN- DONED, OR DISABLE MOTOR VEHICLES; SECTION 86.38, REMOVING IMPOUNDING AN IMMOBLIZATION OF MOTOR VEHICLES BEARING OUTSTANDING CITATIONS; SECTION 86-39, STORAGE, COSTS AND REMOVAL OF IMPOUNDED MOTOR VEHICLES; SECTION 86- 42, FIRE LANES ON PRIVATE PROPERTY DEVOTED TO PUBLIC USE; SECTION 86-44, SCHEDULE OF CIVIL PENAL- TIES FOR PARKING VIOLA- TIONS; SECTION 86- 45, PARK- ING FINES UNIT, PROCEDURES UPON NONCOMPLIANCE WITH PARKING VIOLATION NOTICE; PROVIDING FOR AUTHORITY; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABIL- ITY; PROVIDING FOR SCR IVENER'S ERRORS; PROVIDING FOR LIBERAL INTERPRETATION; PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF ALL ORDI- NANCES OR PARTS OF ORDI- NANCES IN CONFLICT HERE- WITH AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. The public hearing in conjunction with the Second Reading of this ordi- nance will be held on Monday, November 8, 2021 at 6:00 PM, or as quickly thereafter as possible in the City Council Chamber, 198 N Wilson Street, Crestview, Florida. All citizens and interested parties are encouraged to attend the City Council meeting and to provide writ- ten and/or verbal comments on the matters under consideration. The ordinance is available for public inspection during normal business hours at the Office of the City Clerk, 198 N. Wilson Street. The City Council of the City of Crestview does not discriminate upon the basis of any individual's disability status. Anyone requiring reasonable accommodation as provided for in the American with Disabilities Act to insure access to and participation in the meeting should contact the Office of the City Clerk at least five (5) calendar days prior to the meeting to make appro- priate arrangements. It a person decides to appeal any decision made by the City Council with respect to any matter consid- ered at this meeting or public hear- ing will need a record of the proceedings and for such purpose, such person may need to unsure that a verbatim record of the proceed- ings is made, which record includes the testimony and any evidence upon with the appeal is to be based.
