LYNWOOD REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
REGULAR MEETING
January 7, 2014
The City of Lynwood as Successor Agency to the Lynwood Redevelopment Agency of
the City of Lynwood met in a regular meeting at Lynwood City Council Chambers,
11330 Bullis Road on the above date at 6:25 p.m.
Mayor Castro presiding.
Council Members Alatorre, Santillan -Beas, Solache, Hernandez and Castro were
present.
Also present were Interim City Manager Warne, City Attorney Galante and City Clerk
Quinonez and Deputy City Treasurer Sheila Harding.
City Clerk Quinonez announced that the Agenda had been duly posted in accordance
with the Brown Act.
City Attorney Galante announced that there was a request to add a subsequent need
item to closed session for the Lynwood Successor Agency agenda as well as the
Lynwood City Council agenda.
City Attorney Galante stated that the issue is related to the Lynwood Redevelopment
Agency vs. Barry Ross matter and that the LSA and Lynwood City Council had
previously provided closed session direction to the law firm Cox, Castle & Nicholson at
the November 15, 2013 closed session and that there is an update regarding that status
of that action and there is immediate need to take action to solidify the settlement.
It was moved by Council Member Santillan -Beas, seconded by Council Member
Alatorre to add the subsequent need Item #3 — CLOSED SESSION — CONFERENCE
WITH LEGAL COUNSEL EXISTING LITIGATION — LYNWOOD REDEVELOPMENT
AGANCY VS. BARRY ROSS, to the Lynwood Successor Agency Agenda and Lynwood
City Council Agenda.
Council Member Solache asked when the request for the subsequent need item was
received.
City Attorney Galante stated that it was received today and that Ms. Sarah Withers had
more information. ?.
Ms. Withers confirmed that the request was received today from the law firm.
Council Member Solache asked if there was an immediate need to take action today.
Ms. Withers responded yes.

Council Member Solache stated that he doesn't want to get into: the habit of adding
items to the agenda without giving proper notification to the public.
Mayor Castro stated for the record, "It does require a 4 -5 vote to add this subsequent
need item. We have a first and a second, roll call ".

It was moved by Council Member Santillan -Seas, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem
Hernandez and carried 5 -0, council was given direction on negotiations of
settlement.
ADJOURNMENT
Having no further discussion, it was moved by Council Member Santillan -Bess,
seconded by Council Member Solache and carried to adjourn the regular City of
Lynwood as Successor Agency to the Lynwood Redevelopment Agency meeting at
10:06 p.m.
