REGULAR MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF MEDINA

eeting called to order at $ PM.
11 council members were present. Minutes of the meeting of
December i8 6,1961 were read. Motion by Herb Arens to aceept
minutes as read, second by Art Gertz, motion carreed.
Archie Carter, village engineer was present and presented revised
street specifications and standarad, and advised that plant mix
for had black top streets should be considered.
Motion by Harold Winterhalter that the proposal by Archie Carter
on street specifications be sent to the planning commission for
immediate study, second by Herb Arens, motion carried.
Archie Carter estimated the cost of surveying the right of way of
road #88 along with slope easements at 4500.00. Notion by
Harold Winterhalter to authorize the enginner to make a survey of
the right of way of # $$ from # 48 to Highway 55, second by Herb
Arens, Motion carried. Letters were sent to Stewert Wells, Art
Jubert, Stan Wessen, John Cavanaugh, Art Lamurent, Jule Laurent
and Harry Schmit advising them of this survey.
Weed inspectors report was read. Motion by Herb Arens to pay
weed inspectors bill, second by Arthur Gertz, Motion carried.
Motion by Harold Winterhalter to autorized the road supervisior
to post snow removal signs in Village moraxx where needed, second
by Arthur Gertz, motion carried. Motion by Harold Winterhalter to
pay the difference between party and private linew for Uric) Eisinger
and Calvin Thell, Second by Arthur Gertz, Motion carried.

mayor, second by Herb Arens, motion carried. Motion by Arthur Gertz
to appoint Farmers State bank of Hamel, Depository, second by
Herb Arens, Motion carried.. Motion by Herb Arens to appoint
Dr. Wallace Anderson medical officer, 2nd by Art Gertz, Notion carried.
Motion by Arthur Gertz to appoint The Minnetonka Herald official
newspaper, second by Harold Winterhalter, motion carried.
Motion by Herb Arens to appoint George Hedlund, Village Attorney,
second by Arthur Gertz, motion carried.
Motion by Harold Winterhalter to appoint Carter Krueger and Assc.
village engineer, second by Arthur Gertz, Notion carried.
Notion by Harold Winterhalter to appoint Easend and Bonhiver
Village Auditors, second by Arthur Gertz, Motion carried.
Iv'iotion by Arthur Gertz to appoint Gerald Dykhoff, building inspector,
second by Harb Arens, motion carried. Motion by Harold Winterhalter
to appoint Robert Scott, Cheif of Police, second by Arthur Gertz,
motion carried. Motion by Harold Winterhalter to appoint Urlo
Eisinger and Calvin Thell police officers until Jan 1963 Regular
meeting,second by Herb Arens, motion carried. Motion by Arthur
Gertz to appoint Leo Leuer road supervisor, second by Harold
Winterhalter, motion carried.
Motion by Hebb Arens to set the following wages per hour,
Road men 1.75 Truck rental 1..50 mower 1.00, Tractor 1.50
Grader and man 6.50 Hauling .10 per yard mile.
second by Arthur Gertz, motion carried.
Motion by Harold Winterhalter to set clerks salary at 450.00 per
month and Treasurers salary at 030.00 per month, second by Herb
Arens, motion carried. Motion by Harold Winterhalter to set
police officers salary at 1.75 per hour for village patrol, and
2.00 per hour for park patrol, second by Herb Arens, motion carried
Mayor reported he is seeking a civil defense director.
Motion by Herb Arens to appoint Harold Winterhalter, Anne theis and
a member of the planning commission to the West Hennepin Joint planning
commission, second by Arther Gertz, motion carried.
Motion by Arthur Gertz to appoint Charles Scherer builing custondian
at 4100.00 per year, second by Herb Arens, Motion carried.
