adjacent to the City of Iona and is subject to annexation to the City of Iona pursuant to the
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS TO THE
CITY OF IONA, IDAHO; DESCRIBING THESE LANDS;
REQUIRING THE FILING OF THE ORDINANCE AND
AMENDED CITY MAP AND AMENDED LEGAL
DESCRIPTION OF THE CITY WITH THE APPROPRIATE
COUNTY AND STATE AUTHORITIES; AND
ESTABLISHING EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the land described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto is contiguous and
provisions of Section 50-222, Idaho Code, as amended; and
WHEREAS, it appears to the Mayor and City Council that this land should be
annexed to and become a part of the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IONA, IDAHO, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The land described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto is hereby annexed
to the City of Iona.
Section 2. The City Clerk shall file a certified copy of this Ordinance with the
Bonneville County Auditor, Treasurer and Assessor within ten (10) days after the effective
date hereof. The City Engineer shall, within ten (10) days after such effective date, file an
amended legal description and map of the City, with the Bonneville County Recorder and
Assessor and the Idaho State Tax Commission, all in accordance with Idaho Code, Section
63-2215.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be effective upon its passage, execution and
publication in the manner provided by law.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IONA, on the 26 day
of July, 2000, and signed by the Mayor on the 26 day of July, 2000.

Beginning at a point that is N,00°24'02E. along the North -South Center Section line
692.02 feet from the South 1/4 Corner of Section. 1,Township 2 North, Range 38 East of
the Boise Meridian; running thence N.00°24'02"E. along said North -South Center Section
line 86.77 feet; thence N.89°35'58"W. 208.00 feet;. thence N.00°24'02"E. 135.00 feet;
thence N.89°35'58"W. 166.98 feet; thence S.00°24'02"W. 225.72 . feet; thence
N.89°35'58"E. 67.78 feet; thence S.00°20'08"W. 1.40 feet; thence N.89°38'44"E. 307.24

DESCRIBING THESE LANDS; REQUIRING THE FILING OF THE ORDINANCE AND

Production Supervisor or Asst. Prod. Supervisor of The Post Company, a corporation of Idaho
Falls, Bonneville County, Idaho, publishers of The Post Register, a newspaper of general
circulation, published daily at Idaho Falls, Idaho; said Post Register being a consolidation of the
Idaho Falls Times, established in the year 1890, The Idaho Register, established in the year 1880
and the Idaho Falls Post, established in 1903, such consolidation being made on the First day of
November, 1931, and each of said newspapers have been published continuously and
uninterruptedly, prior to consolidation, for more than twelve consecutive months and said Post
Register having been published continuously and uninterruptedly from the date of such
consolidation, up to and including the last publication of notice hereinafter referred to.
That the notice, of which a copy is hereto attached and made a part of this affidavit, was
published in said Post Register for 1 consecutive (days) weeks, first publication having been
made on the 14TH day of JULY, 2000, last publication having been made on the 14TH day of
JULY 2000 at the said notice was published in the regular and entire issue of said paper on the
respective dates of publication, and that such notice was published in the newspaper and not in a

purpose of considering the annexation
and zoning of approximately 1.5 acres of
real property which is generally located
at the west end of Hansen Avenue, Iona,
Idaho. The public hearing will be con-
ducted at the Iona City Building, 3548
North Main, Iona, Idaho. •
