RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION #99-147 INCREASING
THE NOT TO EXCEED AMOUNT
WHEREAS, by Resolution 7499-147 the Borough of Carteret (the "Borough")
approved a professional set Aces agreement appointing Killam Associates to perform
engineering services during the construction phase of the Linden Street, Hermann
Avenue and Cypress Street Sewer Separation (the "Project"); and
WHEREAS, additional services are required for the remaining inspection and
construction coordination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE 1T RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret that Resolution #99-147 is hereby amended to increase the not
to exceed amount by $9,500.00 to a new total of $21,500.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this contract is awarded without competitive
bids in accordance with the NJSA 40A:11-5 (1) (a) due to the specialized and
professional nature of the services provided.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and Municipal Clerk are authorized
to execute an amended professional services agreement reflecting the increased not
to exceed amount.
BE 1T FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution shall be advertised as
prescribed by law in the Home News Tribune on July 20, 1999.
