MINUTES
DECEMBER 11, 2023

Call to Order
Mayor JB Whitten opened the meeting at 5:02 p.m.
The members introduced themselves: Priscilla Mayorga, Mike Carroll, Steve Colton, Hannah
Wilburn, and Linda Evans. Mike Carroll mentioned he was a prior recipient.
Mayor Whitten stated the selection would be on the December agenda for City Council approval
and the recipient would be selected at the January meeting. He asked the committee if they had
any questions.
Steve asked if the Citizen of the Year is required to attend city functions. Mayor Whitten replied
there is no requirement, but they are invited.
The committee went over the submittals, scored the nominations, and submitted the scoring to
the City Clerk for tabulation.
Adjournment
Mayor JB Whitten adjourned the meeting at 5:32 p.m.
